Special factoring to know:

a2 - b2 = (a-b) ( a+ b)

a3 + b3 = (a+ b) ( a2 - ab + b2)
a3 - b3 =  (a - b) ( a2 + ab + b2)

EXAMPLE1:

Expand :  (x-5 ) ( x + 5)    using FOIL
you should get the difference of 2 squares because the middle terms cancel out.
Then you can work backward.

EXAMPLE2:

x2 - 16

EXAMPLE3:

25x2 - 81

EXAMPLE4:

20 x3 - 5x

EXAMPLE5:

(x+2)2 - 25

EXAMPLE6:

x4 -1

EXAMPLE7:

x4 - 81

ALSO TRY:
